Hello, Tea Friends!
Spring is finally rearing its beautiful head in Central Texas. Despite February's crazy weather the bluebonnets and evening primroses are beginning to make an appearance. Central Texas has the most breath taking roadways in the country. Wildflowers are liberally scattered everywhere and make for such a stunning display. It is definitely worth the visit.
What is equally beautiful is the story behind the legend of how bluebonnets came to be. It involves a young girl, her most prized possession, and the savior of her tribe. For a shortened version of the tale, check out Texas Hill Country's tale here. If you have children, Tomie dePaola's book The Legend of The Bluebonnet is one of the most beautiful stories you'll ever read.
With the coming of Spring, we've been looking forward to warmer weather. Hot tea is giving way to glasses of iced tea, and we've been excited as we put together a brand new line up of special run, seasonal tea and tisane offerings. We have papayas, passionfruit, orange, pineapple, peach, berries, and so much more. We've had so much fun blending and gathering...and we know you're going to love it.
New teaware is out for spring and summer, and we are in love with the elegant Tea For One sets that went up on the shelves this week. Red poppies. Violets. Peonies. Roses. They're all coming out to play, so be sure to check them out both in store and online.
Lastly, make time over the next few days to indulge in self care. 2020 was a rough year on everyone, and so many of us are still in recovery -- whether it be physical health, mental health, or financial health. Stay strong, Tea Friends. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it doesn't involve a train.
